Raising a score has an order: first you find the area pulling it down, then you make an adjustment aimed at that area and measure the company again. A company that skips the order can spend its effort on work that never shows in the result.
Find the source first
Your score usually drops because one of the four areas lags clearly behind the others. As the report lists this area separately, the first step does not rely on guesswork. Adjustments made without knowing the source often strengthen what is already strong and leave the result where it was.
Adjustments that show results quickly
- Reviewing your maturity structure: when you spread liabilities concentrated in the short term over longer maturities, the effect shows quickly under solvency.
- Shortening collection periods: late collections make both solvency and debt burden look worse than they are.
- Avoiding piling new liabilities into the period just before an application.
- Entering your financial data completely and keeping it up to date: an omitted line item can make the result look weaker than your actual position.
What does not work
Treat any approach that promises a shortcut to a higher score with scepticism. The score is produced from the information the company provides, so you need to change the situation, not the data. The same picture cannot give a different result.
Final step: measure again
A company that makes adjustments without checking the outcome has done half the preparation. Comparing two reports shows which intervention actually worked, and it tells you what to do next time.
Who looks at your company's finances?
Raising a score is usually treated as preparation for a loan or limit talk. Other parties look at the same picture: a supplier selling to you on payment terms, a manufacturer deciding whether to take you on as a dealer, or a large customer working with you for the first time may ask for your company documents and assess your ability to pay and your debt burden. The adjustments that raise your score help in those conversations too.
You can run the same check on the other side: with Firmaskor Company Check you can review customers before selling on payment terms, as well as your dealers and suppliers, with the same 0-100 score and report.
